The Seven-Day Constraint

A seven-day startup sprint forces clarity. You cannot build every feature, so you build the smallest proof that a real person understands the offer and wants the outcome. Codex and Claude Code make this possible because they compress design, development, debugging, and deployment into a fast feedback loop.

Day 1: Pick the Pain

Choose a specific audience and a painful repeated problem. Write the promise in plain language. If the landing page headline is hard to write, the product is still too vague.

Day 2: Ship the Landing Page

Build the first page with a clear offer, proof, pricing or waitlist, FAQ, and analytics. Do not wait for perfect branding. You need a public URL so the market can talk back.

Day 3 and 4: Prototype the Core

Use Codex to create the single workflow that makes the product valuable. That might be a dashboard, generator, intake form, report builder, or automation. Keep the scope narrow enough that you can test it by hand.

Day 5: Add Trust

Add onboarding copy, email capture, testimonials if you have them, a demo video placeholder, and clear support expectations. Trust is often the difference between curiosity and conversion.

Day 6 and 7: Launch and Learn

Publish articles, post demos, message target users, and collect objections. Your first launch is not a final exam. It is the beginning of a sharper product conversation.
